TxCRLA is the Texas chapter of the College Reading and Learning Association [CRLA], a voluntary association of postsecondary student-oriented and learning assistance professionals. The membership includes faculty in various fields (reading, writing, math, education, and study skills), Supplemental Instruction and tutor training administrators, learning and study skills professionals, learning center administrators, and developmental education faculty who work primarily in Texas and surrounding states.

Objectives
  • To provide a state-wide educational association for post-secondary educators in the areas of learning assistance, developmental education, and tutorial services.

  • To provide professional development and state leadership opportunities for post-secondary faculty and academic support professionals.

  • To participate in statewide initiatives, planning, and decision making.

  • To promote research in our chosen fields.

  • To communicate best practices in learning assistance, developmental education, and tutorial services.
